About

Me? I am a 28 year old guy from switzerland.

As a kid, I spent a lot of time in front of computers, so naturally, I ended up with a bachelors degree (more precisely, the former swiss equivalent of a bachelors degree, dipl ing) in software engineering (again, more precisely, it’s in information technology). My interests broadened substantially during my early twenties, but professionally, I didn’t get away from IT.

In 2008 i quit my job as a web guy at a small company in frustration over my lack of personal and professional progress. I took what little money I had and embarked on a long trip. Originally, I planned to get around the world, but then got stuck in Asia. During this 18 months long trip, I started working as a digital nomad, doing the same work I did before, but while traveling. I’ve since pushed buttons for a living on beaches, in buses, boats, trains, airplanes, bars, coffeeshops, restaurants, parks, guesthouses, cities and this one time sitting on a sidewalk in Laos at 2am.

After I’ve been back to Switzerland for 5 months in the summer of 2010 I left again for Asia. Currently I am back in Switzerland again, trying to figure out what to do next.

This blog? This is my attempt to cultivate my written english and get thoughts out of my head and into a slightly more reliable kind of memory device. It is also an effort at practising minimalism.

Many things occupy my mind at times and many stories I want to put in writing when the mood strikes. Posts here should be either entertaining, inspiring or thought provoking.
